Questions

Have any of y'all had any luck with a battery-generated backup system? We're in a very rural area and have a lot of power blips and outages. In all fairness, our local electric co-op is lightning-fast on fixing issues, but that doesn't help me recover files that seem to just disappear. Here is one little tip - name the file ANYTHING when you create a PS document, and it will save you from the dreaded "it has to have a name before auto-save works." Thanks in advance for any help. Yep, our electricity was off for a few hours, and I lost a couple of files. The electric company told me it was not the normal gopher chewed line, but a beaver this time.  Kathy

Good evening dear friendsI have an idea for a new software for AdobeWant to hear it?

If you rely on USPS to ship tangible products or send bulk mail circulars & promotional mailings, listen up.  The U.S. Postal System is cutting services & raising postal rates AGAIN.     Mail delivery has been suspended in 5 States due to severe winter weather hazards. https://bestlifeonline.com/usps-closing-post-offices-winter-weather-news/   In July, USPS announced a cost cutting effort to slash 50,000 employees through attrition over a 10-year "break even" plan.  Your local post office may have shorter operating hours or be closed/closing in an effort to shave off 64 million work hours.   No more Priority Mail Prepaid Flat Rate Stamped Envelopes.  USPS stopped selling them earlier this year. No more Retail Ground and Parcel Select Ground distinctions.  The two options for ground shipments up to 70 pounds will be combined into just one First-Class Package Service (FCPS). No more delivery of COVID-19 home test kits.  I received 8

Hello,  I am unable to get off this screen. I have dome all the necessary troubleshooting steps like clearing cache, using a new broswer, using Incognito, etc, and I am still getting the same error message.  Is there any help that can be provided?

Wife and I both have Win11 and a recent update removed our file sharing abilityIt seems that Microsoft decided to change security settings with the update(our computers both have wired connections to a Comcast/Xfinity XB8-T modem). So I had to go into settings on both computers to get file sharing to work againChange to Private Network so other computer may be detected... then In File ManagerRight click Network select Properties, click advanced settings, select All networksand turn password protected sharing to OFF on both computers to see & share files

MY ADOBE ACCOUNT GOT HACKED!!!! Now all my information is on the Black Web for anyone to use.  Be careful. Scan the emails and passwords. They used my email info and pw. I would think Adobe would have better security than they do. Of course you cant call and speak to a human about it.    Patricia.   [Moderator moved from Stock Contributors to The Lounge.]

I would like to find a screen compatible with the color gamut of my computer, so that there is no, or very little, color difference, since I am a graphic designer.Do you have any screens to recommend? Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

I joined bsky.app a few days ago, and I'm so glad I did.  It's lovely, a breath of fresh air.   I, along with millions of other users, got fed up with the ketamine-laced lunatic platform formerly known as Twitter.       Bluesky is #1 app on Google Play and #2 in Apple's App Store.  And there's good reason for it.  Here's some cool stuff you can do on Bluesky. https://www.theverge.com/24295933/bluesky-social-network-custom-how-to   Hope to see you there.

I teach a photo design class. We use photoshop for the ipad. When I screen share to show them a technique etc, I can't show my workspace, it only shows the picture I'm working with, none of the tools etc, which is kinda useless when it comes to teaching them how to use the app. Any thoughts?

I am trying to find out where to go to hire someone to make some forms fillable for me and do some one on one training on Adobe.  Is there a place to do to find people to do that?

How to pass ACE ExamAdobe retired the recertification exam. Some of us need to be up to date with the exams since we teach at Adobe certified places. They just announced the new exams which will be in August and I think that the "OLDER" certified community like us that have so much experience should fight together to bring back the Recertification exam.  I teach the ACA classes in USC, I give advise to students about the ACE exams and feel that it is not fair to ask us to do the entire exam again every two years. 1. In the past as an ACP we got a code from Adobe for free exams...but as everything else it went away now we get 50% off...2. In the past Adobe certified people created the test now it is part of Pearson and actually it is a money making venture...3. they said that the recertification was on line so was not fair, they can bring it back not on line. Why experts like us need to do the entire test? we are the one that answers the questions...They asking

My Xfinity model XB7 modem developed a wi-fi problem (kept quitting) so yesterday I took it to my local Xfinity store and was given a newer XB8 modem... the wired computer connection was no problemThe wi-fi was a problem (not a major problem, but lots of time)The XB7 had two names for the 2.4 and 5 GHz channels... I used the default names, which contained a 'special character' in each name, with my own passwordsThe XB8 has one name for all 3 channels (2.4 & 5 & 6 GHz) and it will 'negotiate' the best link with any connected deviceUpdating our cell phones was easy by going into the Settings screen to select the new wi-fi name and entering the passwordUpdating our Alexa 'show' boxes was 'almost' as easy, by pressing and holding the MUTE and Volume DOWN buttons at the same time to set the boxes back to factory defaults, and then entering at the prompts on the screen to get linked to the new wi-fi nameSimilar for Ring doorbell and cameras, by using the cell phone app (press three d
