photographers right now get a really sweet deal of $9.99 a month for photoshop, lightroom and a host of mobile apps. graphic designers, like myself, who might only need indesign, illustrator, photoshop and muse have to pay $49.99 for the basic creative cloud plan - which includes a bunch of applications i will never use.if i just wanted the four applications i use and bought them separately, it would cost me $80 - $20 for each application.meanwhile photographers can get photoshop and lightroom for less than $5 apiece.how is this fair?through the creative cloud plans, adobe is no better than a cable company - you get a lot of channels you never watch yet have to pay for them.wheres the plans for designers, video, web, and sound?its time adobe realised that not everyone wants to pay for things they never use.

I will just go buy something eles

Hello creatives! it's been a while I had a chance to play music but lately I have been blessed by the luck of meeting soulmates who both are artists AND musicians and so I wonder, just for the sake of a good creative conversation, how many of you can play one or more instruments and what does that give to your creative life?I have been playing piano, sax, bassoon and I've been a singer for many years. Gave up 14 years ago and went shyly back to just piano hopefully to stay - I like playing soundtracks mainly. A damage to my vocal chords makes it hard to sing but I still try now and then, but it is I admit very awful at times What music has given me that made my skills in Photoshop grow is the mindset of creating things a bit at a time, going back and refining small parts while you connect them to the rest of the score. The fact that building the piece whether I write (yes I can write music too, I had some composition at the conservatory of music, while at - I have written some children

I was fortunate enough to listen to Adobe Evangelist, Julianne Kost's talk last week about her latest style of photography.  As a passenger in a car, she takes photos out of the side window with spectacular results. Check out the interview with her on the Creative Cloud blog about this and her new book showing these photos aptly entitled "Passenger Seat".Do you have any ways of taking photos that perhaps your peers haven't thought of?  Please share them!

What is the best export option for a 4:3 ration to be uploaded as a Kickstarter video?

My wife has Parkinson's disease, with a very bad memory.  I want to make simple instructions for her, on how to operate the TV, DVD Player & Net Flex, with a Smart TV.I have a file with the three selectors that do these functions.  I want to add text instructions in this file, with a picture of these three selectors.  How do I do this?  Thanks!

If you are I would love to know what you would like to know/see/learn/explore. Think this is silent gem within many of the applications that takes all we creatives do to another level!
