Even though I have all Email notifications set to On, I don't get email notifications of replies to threads. Can anyone help? Thanks.
I participated in the CS6 beta forum, and I can say it was a delightful experience. While there was the usual roster of knowledgeable responders from the user public but there was also a high presence of Adobe personnel that were very familiar with the inner workings of the program.Questions were answered quickly and where an answer was not known the question was routed to someone in Adobe that would investigate and respond. I realize this was their job, as a beta testing platform, and they could not afford to run User Forums this way.In some forums these is a resident expert, that has knowledge of how the program is built, that pops in frequently to handle the tougher questions. Chris Cox in Photoshop and Jeff Schewe in Camera Raw forums are two shining examples I am familiar with. Perhaps other Forums have "experts" as well.I don't know how many forums have a "go to" expert. It would be a great help to the Users and Adobe if the top responders had a cont
See this thread. My thoughts are in post 16.http://forums.adobe.com/message/4376462#4376462I didn't have the certificate error myself, probably because my system did a better job of updating its root certificates than others', but I am glad the subject was brought up.[Rant]I'm well protected from malware, but I don't want even the Javascripts from those stupid social networking sites running on my system. Twitter et. al. are pure BS and I don't want anything to do with them. It irritates me that Adobe has been delivering their crapware onto my system by including their little icons on the forum pages.I've blocked the scripts from Twitter et. al. by adding them to my Restricted Sites list, but it would have been nice not to have had to spend that effort.Adobe is a professional company, and I visit Adobe's forums looking for a professional experience, not to play.[/Rant]-Noel
I can not access Adobe Forums on my iPad2."Safari can not open page because too many redirects occured."Anyway to fix this on my end or or yours?
I just spent an hour trying to access the forums when using Firefox 12. It does not display the bar with the New Your Stuff history etc. It updated itself yesterday or the day before and since then it is impossible to use on this forum.I just had a thought and tried IE9 64 bit and it works OK. Loaded the same url on Firefox and the bar with the welcome username was not there. It shows that I am logged in under the search box but still asks for me to log in. I even contacted Customer support, but they could not help.So if you have problems accessing the forum, use a different browser.
Hey guys! You've always helped me out and I hope you can help me out with this problem I have.I was asked to give two videos a specific output, one of them I developed in After Effects, the other is a Quicktime (.MOV) video.I'm actively trying but I can't seem to figure out how to deliver the exact requirements they're asking of me. Here goes.My animation on AE was made at 720x480, Square pixels. The .MOV is at (according to QuickTime Inspector) 720x486 (640x480) Linear PCM. At 29.97 FPS, 53.62 Mbit/s Current Size 648x480.Their requirements are:Wrapper: Quicktime SelfcontainedHeader: ALISScan: InterlacedField Dominance: Lower fieldCompressor: DVCPRO 50Bit Rate: 50 MnpsFPS: 29.97Codec Audio: PCMAspect Ratio: 4:03They're asking for Betacam format.I have, honestly no idea how to get all those requirements in the file.I can output it compressed by DVCPRO50 from AE, but I can't alter the Bitrate and the aspect is changed to 0.91, I have no idea how to get the PCM audio codec, or how to chang

As I cant find any answers else where on the internet - lets see what you guys can do!The Logitec keyboard in question (The G510) has "G" keys that can be used to create macro's. Now this is usually for computer games as it is a gaming keyboard - but Im wanting to find out if it can be used to programme macro's in Adobe software. For Example: - converting files from RGB to CMYKNow I know its possible to create macro's already - but im wanting to know if you can do it throught the keyboard and save them.As a graphic designer - meeting deadlines is everything, and after seeing this keyboard I asked myself this question.Im not going to invest in it if it cant do it as it's price varys from £70 - £100 which is fairly steep, I just need a new keyboard and though do I upgrade 'significantly' or just get another standard keyboardCheers for reading - looking forward to hearing anyones replies!James
I am interested in upgrading to CS6 and I see on the Adobe's home page that there is a special introductory price for existing owners. I am a Business Catalyst premium partner and wanted to know if this discount would also be made available to us as becoming a partner was a considerable outlay and I use it with a version of software that is pre CS4 & CS5.
I just purchased Lightroom 4 less than 2 weeks ago from Amazon and paid $161.96. Now I see they are offering it for $99.00 with a Photoshop CS5 upgrade. I haven't been able to find anything about any compensation for new users to Lightroom.
I'm still getting email notifications even though I've turned the settings off. Please help...my email address is getting tons of junk sent to it cuz the forum I posted on is so busy! Email notifications are coming from forums@adobe.com.
Our experience with Adobe has been extremely negative. With a rare exception, the reps are very unfriendly; they interrupt in a mid sentence, get rude ( "I am not going to waste my time on this...", etc.)It took months and dozens of phone conversations to transfer the license from our ex-employee back to the company.I mean those reps who actually speak the language of this country. When they escalate, you'll usually get someone picking up the phone in India. This afternoon, after two rude and annoyed people, I got escalated to a tech, who, just simply hung up on me, after I asked the same question twice, since he was saying sheer nonsense. And these are the characters Adobe hires to represent itself? Wow, shame, and shame again, Adobe. You are deliberately turning your loyal, and long-running customers away. Well, this is exactly what you'll get.
After expire of LCCS trial I am not able to Chat with my room members.'cSession.userManager.userCollection' does not show any loged in user in the list. Is there any other way to populate list of login users?
I have Design Premium CS5.5 and plan to upgrade to CS6. May I still use CS5.5 on my laptop?
The Adobe Acrobat X Pro keeps crashing on my iMac (Lion system). Some technician guys from Adobe helped me reinstall it, but the problem still has not been solved. And also, whenever I reinstall it (even though uninstall it first) and go through all installation steps, at the very end, it still tells me that the Acrobat is not installed.
I am wondering if Adobe has any specialized software to develop technical manuals and then manage revisions to those manuals over time. I know Indesign will work for the development and export to PDF etc.The challange is making changes within the document after the initial publication and then tracking a list of effective pages and updating the effective date of the revised pages etc.Anyone have any workflow suggestions or specific software that would work for this application??Thanks
I've tried re-installing three times, tried deleting the 4.0 folder, tried running it as administrator, tried holding the shift key and it keeps crashing. The additional info on the crash is as follows:Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: Adobe Audition.exe Application Version: 4.0.0.1815 Application Timestamp: 4d8ba538 Fault Module Name: AuScripting.dll Fault Module Version: 4.0.0.1815 Fault Module Timestamp: 4d8b96b4 Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Offs

When will Adobe get their act together? Every time I have had to call support, and we are very advanced users, it is a complete joke. The 'support' technicians don't know anything, don't listen nor care about your problem. We have only ever called when faced with highly complex issues that are obviously bugs in the software and after spending 25 hours over 4 days and still having a technician ask you questions not even related to your issue is ridiculous. I am filing a case with the BBB and ranting any place I can in regards to the travesty that is 'Adobe' 'Support'. Why are we paying so much for a product with a complete lack of support or respect for their users. Ship me off to India, then have someone that has never used the product tell me how to use it. Then go through 2 more levels of support only to find that they know just as little as the moron answering the phone. I am graohics and IT professional who has been in the field for over 25 years and my experiences with Adobe tech
