Nicknames broken

Keep trying to add nickname to allow a post and getting xxx already taken.

some more exotic examples are
DJK543DJK1

All report taken.

    you left the insect store and now the one right after your message.

    what's with these people. zombie spambots go for like 1000 systems for a penny that'll do like a million spams every couple hours. then they can spam to their heart's content. are these the stupid spammers who think they're going to get rich one link at a time?

    If they all report as being "taken" There must be something wrong with the nickname registration, or lots of spam bots registered all available nicknames?

    I'm getting this error myself, and have following the above guidelines, but don't seem to be getting anywhere?

    Looking in the sourcecode, what exactly am I looking for?

    The reason is spam but still could'nt find out the way to sort it out.

    generally just scroll over the text and see whether the cursor changes. I have it easy... I have an edit button on all posts. You guys could take a peek at the source code... or use a newsreader... they see it really clearly.
