What About Moderators in the New Forum?

I have no tolerance for the whole concept of a small self-satisfied clique awarding each other Status and Merit Marks. It smacks of Gold Stars being awarded to Kindergardeners and has about the same value.

How much experience do you have of participating in the REAL Adobe Forums; or using the PROFESSIONAL GRAPPHIC ARTS ADOBE Applications which are covered in those places; and how experience and knowledge do you have of the ancilliary professions of Printing and Professional Photography?

REAL Adobe forums - give me a break ! that's some highhorse you're sitting on. Graphics programs are not the only apps that Adobe own, nore are they the only Adobe Forums out there.

Whether it's the old MM forums or the new, they are all under Adobes' umbrella no?

I use Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Photoshop, Lightroom on a daily basis - what about you?

Also, the Adobe forums are not the only ones I frequent to help out others - again, what about you?

THEY KNOW NOTHING WHATSOEVER ABOUT THE NEW FORUMS. Can you please get that through your thick skull, Ann?!? They know less than what you know, since they came into the game later then you did, at a point after John first said something to this group.

They've been around back asking the current hosts questions about the change that they will be undergoing, since they have not had any kind of admin rights before. That is what they are here for, to get a sense of when and where and how we do the kind of forum housekeeping that we do. They have not had any knowledge of, nor voice in, choosing forum software or setting it up.

don´t worry about me, I´m personally not feeling offended by this at all. "Adobegemeindefachmannkreuz" is pretty hilarious, and having used the "rest" might rather say something about the author´s careless mindset, who knows. The only real problem I see is that 3nd and term which does indeed offend many of my fellow countrymen, and if they should ever come here and read this very post from Ramon, he´ll have a lot to explain to them.

I resent the fact that EVERYTHING that ADOBE Forum members have stated that they want EXCLUDED from their Forums are being shovelled into them by your so called "Experts" who seem to have joined in this discussion with the sole purpose of "protecting their turf".

Avatars, Attendance Stripes, Number of Postings and, your pathetic and, to many of us totally insignificant, ACE "Status" labels are exactly the things that I personally find particularly abhorrent.

Ann... what exactly is "my team"?? None of the volunteers in the forums have had anything to do with the planning of the employees that have been making decisions. We're barely observers going along for the ride... but wanting to make the best of it rather then to tear it down as you seem to be intent on doing.

The folks from the experts group were invited here because they will be participating as hosts in the parts of the forums that they currently participate in on the MM side. Is there a reason people have chosen to create this huge mudpit and attempt to drag them through it? I would think that they would be treated as invited guests in your home forums, not as enemies. Frankly, I'm astounded (tho not terribly surprised) at the behaviour exhibited by a very few members of these forums that really have no concept of what they are going on about. Frankly, it's mostly laughable to me, were it not nearly as serious as it is.

I have observed what I have observed: namely a total lack of effort by your team to do ANYTHING at all to accommodate the frequently repeated requests of numerous ADOBE Forum members in your planning.

All that we get from you personally is an insufferable self-satisfied and smug attitude of "We are going to do exactly what WE want to do and you, the Forum Users can just Put up with it".

You are a very poor ambassador for your Team.
