Question

Will "answers" be obvious?

Hi -
I think it's extremely valuable to know which topics have been correctly answered or reached some other successful conclusion.

That being said, it would also be useful to be able to include "limit search to topics that have been answered" to the Search function.

Good luck.

    >Where the heck did that kind of wild speculation come from?

Well there has to be SOME reason for choosing to use that god-awful software and for persisting with that decision when more than 90% of the people responding to these discussions have told you that "we have seen it and we hate it".

    >Because someone at Adobe has a personal vested interest in Jive perhaps?

Where the heck did that kind of wild speculation come from? Not that I want to have a conversation about it, but I think such an accusation deserves to be questioned.

The one thing you are supplying, Ann, is a strong basis for people to be able to say it ain't as bad as all that. Good job, if that is your intent.

    Perfect example, Dave.

Currently the Forums are busy Two-way Streets: Questions asked receive prompt, informed and informative replies from people who not only know their subject but are willing to spend time to share their knowledge and experience.

THAT is what you are about to throw away.

    Why?

Because someone at Adobe has a personal vested interest in Jive perhaps?

    >As a total aside - and for whoever is reading this - I am amazed at the generosity of people in these forums. I have only been doing this for a few days but I am stunned (I can't think of another word) at how generous people are with information, and how friendly the tone of this forum is. (I believe you're not supposed to pontificate on these sites but I just had to say that! I promise I won't do it again.)

I dozed off and missed 2-3 of the dances, but the previews showed the Woz as being "light on his feet" for someone 50 or so pounds overweight

I have it on Tivo, so may run through to the part where my eyes closed and watch the ones I missed... the "lost hour" of going to DST always takes me a few days of adjustment

My eyes opened again right about when Melissa "whoever" was on... wife and I don't watch Bachelor, so I had no idea who she was before the announcement on Dancing... but for only 2 days of practice, she did pretty good

Yes and it was not a pretty sight. I figure he will be the first to get panned. BTW in one of commercial for the show they noted he had dropped three pants sizes, just doing the training

I didn't say I had the highest IQ. But I don't have the lowest neither. the implication was that only people of very low intellect frequented Apple Forums.

I expect that are quite a few PhD's in Computer science or some electrical Engineering people that frequent the groups. Just like there are plenty of smart people in Graphics design here.

Some times there are people that like to tear down other people. Odds are if you were to look at their history , they were bullies then and remain so as they grow up.

Apple switched from Web Crossing to Jive Forums (an older Jive product) a few years ago. Apple Japan remained on Web Crossing for a while, but are in the process of moving to Jive Clearspace now, too.
