Question

Will "answers" be obvious?

Hi -
I think it's extremely valuable to know which topics have been correctly answered or reached some other successful conclusion.

That being said, it would also be useful to be able to include "limit search to topics that have been answered" to the Search function.

Good luck.

It is (was?) my understanding that Apple uses WebCrossing.

see, i don't find those apple forums too bad. lots of wasted space and the font is a little hard to read, but nothing that can't be fixed or tweaked.

if that's what we're going to get (and that's the "type" of forum that jive produces) then that's what we're going to get. we can make the best of it. (or not).

    >You needed 2 p's as well,

i'm not going to tell you what that statement means to my little guy (dave jr. - 4yo)... let's just leave it at: :o

    Hello Ann,

Thanks for your correct link, a pleasant change indeed. Unfortunately,I saw nothing that impressed me favourably there, only unneeded clutter including (to me) inexplicable changes in width, and a lot of unnecessary information. As you say, I wasn't missing anything, but it was enlightening going there all the same. Definitely not what I would like to have over here.

As for the second part of my message #46 above, I forgot to add that at least I have not been repeatedly asked to use the Check Spelling function. In fact, I don't remember ever having been asked to do so. But don't trust my memory too much; it's no longer what it used to be.

    Claudio:

    Apple's forums are called "Discussions"

You are not missing anything of much value but this link will get you there if you want to try it:

I must be very below standard. I have been using Macs for longer that pj, and I have never been to the Apple forums. Out of curiosity, I went to http://www.apple.com/support/ and, although I looked more or less carefully, I didn't find any Forums link.

And although I also have increasing typing problems for health reasons, I do not complain about them or use them as an excuse for my mistakes; I just try to be more careful when typing. Any typo you may find in my messages is exclusively my fault, because I don't use the Check Spelling function in spite of my problem, feeling (wrongly, I know) that I don't need it.

    >Just because people use Mac's doesn't mean they have a low IQ or sub human.

I don't think your IQ is as high as you think. I believe you totally didn't understand what she meant.
