Hi, I would like to know if it is possible to sync up RH11 with SharePoint on Office 365. I know RH and SP are compatible, but unsure whether it will work if SP is on Office 365. When I create a SP site on 365, I of course have full control. I go into RH11, in version control and try to add the website and I get an error - 'Error 403: The remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden.' Is 365 and RH incompatible? If there's any resolution or confirmation that it will not work, please let me know. I've been at this for a few days now... thanks!
Using Robohelp 10.0.1.292, Webhelp generation hangs/crashes at the 'Updating files' stage, one one project only. Why might this be, please?
We recently updated from TCS5 to Release 2015 and now we have a problem. The RH project is linked to FM. There are some pictures that are set with a Conditional Build tag. Those pictures in RH are created with a black box around the edge. If I remove the CBT in FM, the black box goes away in RH.In FM, there is a setting for CBTs to "Show Condition Indicators" where, if enabled, places a colored frame around each flagged picture. That is off in FM, but it seems to be stuck on in RH, and I cannot find anyway to turn it off.If the Anchored Frame in FM is empty, then RH does not add the box. If I add anything into the Anchored Frame, the box returns. If I turn off the option in RH to "Use Distiller to Generate Image", the image quality drops precipitously, and the box is now displayed within the image frame itself. If you edit the picture in RH, it shows that the black frame is part of the image, so something is being added during the import. This did not happen is any
WebHelp | RH2015I'm struggling to get my RH styles to pull through into my printed documentation. Does anyone have experience of mapping RH list styles to Word template list styles?I've created a new list style in RH but it doesn't appear for mapping in the Print Document Appearance step of the Printed Documentation wizard. Can list styles be mapped? If so, can anyone explain the correct process? Many thanksJonathan Smith
I used to be able to print...but not now. I've tried all I know to get it to print. Help !! It keeps saying "no pages selected" !!! I just can't figure out what happened.
When calling multiscreen help over the URL then most of the times (not always) the navigation pane only displays a "Home" link and a search field. Is this a known issue?I am using IE10 and have been using the Desktop_knowledge layout for testingThe call I have been using is the following: file:///C:/<path_to_project_folder>/!SSL!/Multiscreen_HTML5/index.htm?rhcsh=1&rhnewwnd=0&rhmapno=<mapnumber> I have also tried to define a window in RH (with the navigation elements such as TOC etc. activated) and then specify it in the call (&rhwnd=<name>) but this does not work at all for me either.
In RoboHelp 2015, how do you create a hyperlinked pop-up window that appears within a topic (that is, the pop-up window appears when the hyperlink is clicked)? I have a screen that appears when a button is clicked and want to show that screen in the same topic.
I could not find anything about calling the responsive and multiscreen output formats of RH11 via API. Is this simply the same as for webhelp? The API is documented rather well so I was astonished not to find anything concerning the new HTML5 formats - or did I overlook something?Robert
I am trying to use RH11 to convert a bunch of .dita files to .html, but so far have had no success. I have DitaOT installed in my program folders.I've been opening robohelp, selecting new project -> import -> ditamap file. select the ditamap to use, create a new folder for the project, hit next.In the replace default XSLT file for conversion field, I put in the dita2html-base.xsl file.In the DITA Open Toolkit home directory field, I navigate to the location of the DitaOT root folder, select it, and click finish. When I click, finish, robohelp almost immediately gives me an error message saying "No error occurred", leading me to believe that I filled out all of the required fields correctly, but when I check the output folder I created, it is empty.Any tips on things to try/ what I should change would be very appreciated (or if i'm trying to force RH to do something that it isn't normally able to do, that would be appreciated as well).
We are using RoboHelp 11 with TFS for version control, and the check-in prompts are killing our productivity. The TFS interface is slow to begin with, but we are getting 3-4 prompts every time we do something as simple as renaming a file, plus tons of "No Changes to Check-In" message boxes we have to clear. If we move a folder containing several topics and images, it gets downright ridiculous. I literally just had to sit for 23 minutes clicking on confirm boxes just to move a folder from one location to another - there were about 4 confirm boxes to click for every single topic file and image file. Is there a solution for this?
When we try to compile a RH2015 project from the command line, RoboHelp opens to GUI interface. Has anyone compiled a RH2015 project from the command line? If so is there a different command or script line? Currently we are compiling RH10 projects from the command line. Thanks,Charlie
Help says to go to the Format tab and there should be an Export button. The Format tab does not exist.
Because the Design view shows only part of the table heading row and the rest of the table disappears, I cannot edit the table in Design view. I've pasted the CSS and HTML below. Can anyone offer guidance?CSStable { border-collapse: collapse;}th { background-color: #e6e6e6; border: solid #009DD9 1.0px; color: #009dd9; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: .8em; margin: 6px 4px 8px 0px; text-align: center; vertical-align: top; }td{ border: solid #009dd9 1.0px; border-collapse: collapse; color: #000000; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: .8em; margin: 1.5em .5em 1.5em .5em; text-align: left;}HTML<table class="center"> <col /> <col /> <col width="372" /> <tr style="page-break-inside: avoid;"> <th><p class="NTableHeading">Number</p></th> <th><p class="NTableHeading">Number</p></th> <th><p class="NTableHeading">Number</p></th> </tr> <tr style="page-
Hi GuysJust starting with RH (2015). I'll initially be working on one large project with another user. We'll both be working on same sections at same time (but not same topics (files).I develop software and use TortoiseSVN, so i'm used to source control. My colleague knows nothing about source controlWhat are my options (not interested in sharepoint)? Some issues I see with using SVN:I presume when i add a file or project, it updates a master project file. So if both of us add a file and the project file is under source control won;t that create conflicts and these would be a pain to manage.Assuming we both use source control wouldn't we both need to checkout the project in the morning to be able to access it's content? Good morning all,I've added PNG images to my project using the Insert Image function but they're too large (1081 x 1922) and need to be re-sized. When I edit the size in the Image Properties box, the image loses so much quality they almost can't be used. The original images were taken from a Word document where I believe the images were simply screen captures that were pasted into Word without being saved as an image file first. The resulting images in Word were then saved as pictures and then added to the RH project. (Hope I've explained this clearly.)Any help with what's wrong with this process and how I might use these images from the Word doc would be greatly appreciated. Re-creating the images that were the original screen shots in Word would be a monumental task so I'm hoping that's not the problem. Thanks as always.Diane
I have experienced several intermittent problems when generating Word docs from RoboHelp 11 over the last few months. Word crashes when generating a printed document from RoboHelp displaying a dialog that says "Word is trying to recover your documents". The document is generated, but all images in the document are missing. After much investigation I think this is related to the incompatibility with RoboHelp and 64 bit Word. I experience the same sort of errors related to the number of topics in the single source layout as in the following thread:RoboHelp 10: Problems generating Printed DocumentationIs RoboHelp 11 still incompatible with Word 2010 64 bit? Is there any other solution besides installing the 32 bit version of Word? Thanks Mark
I need to generate HTML help for machines in manufacturing plant. The machines run custom software, but you can add web pages that are shown in a browser object in the app (i.e. it's not a full browser per se). One of the restrictions i no javascript support. If I use the HTML 5 responsive layout, I frequently get javascript errors (e.g. in the search dialog) Is there a away to generate a javascript-less HTML outtput. i realize I will probably lose some featuresThanksMark
I am doing internal documentation and would like to edit the default styles for the HTML5 responsive layout. Which files should I edit so that ALL new projects use our styles?
I just got updated to Office 13 and now I can no longer print in RoboHelp, either PDF or Word. I tried enabling the VBA macros to no effect. Please help.
My font sets, which I've had for years, have disappeared since I lasted used RH10. I believe I will have to recreate them. Does anyone know why this happened, and if there is a quicker solution? As a result (I believe), the only font that appears in the font drop-down is Times Roman. Have I done something wrong?
Are there any templates that show a design of an HTML manual designed to cope with different languages?
I'm generating printed documentation from a project using RH 11. All looks good except for the TOC which displays books and topics at the same level. I would have expected to see topics within a book indented in the TOC and don't seem to find a way to change that in the printed doc layout properties. Shown below are screen shots of the TOC in RH and of the TOC in the generated PDF as well as one of the first printed doc layout settings screens.. Any help on figuring this out would be greatly appreciated.Thanks.Diane
I am using TCS 4, which includes FM11 and RH10. I create a project in RH. Link it to my FM book then update. The FM book was originally generated from a power point slide deck, all the slides are in a pdf file. After updating the RH project, all the images that get created are blank. I have been googling and trying everything I can think of. Is there a log somewhere that tracts the process RH goes through when creating and importing the slides from the pdf file?If I can find an error, then maybe I can fix it.Our course development team has been using this method for a few years now, including myself. We have never seen this type of issue before. Occasionally one or two slides are missing, but that is usually due to some tagging that RH does not like and we can find it easily by looking at the .htm file, before the slide with the issue.I have the latest patches installed. I tried moving my FM book to my C:\ drive to keep the file path short.
When publishing as a Multiscreen HTML5 layout, is it possible to assign responsive screen layouts to the existing screen profiles? It seems that when selecting the Single Source Layout of Multiscreen HTML5, I can only assign Multiscreen HTML5 screen layouts to the existing screen profiles. When I select the Responsive HTML5 layout, I can only see responsive screen layouts in the drop-down.
RoboHelp 10, source controlled with TFS 2010, publishing only to Multiscreen HTML5.I am trying to create first-level folders in my Robohelp project so I can start importing existing html topics, but Robohelp won't let me create folders with the names I need. I'll use "contactus" as an example here. When I attempt to do this, Robohelp gives me the following error: 'A file with the name "contactus" already exists.'I have checked the following:A file or folder called "contactus" does not exist anywhere in the project or project manager.A folder called "contactus" does not exist in source control.A folder called "contactus" does not exist on my hard drive in Windows. There is no broken link to this location or anything below it.None of my HTML5 screen layout pages reference this location, although they once did, and I have since removed those links in an attempt to fix the problem. The string "contactus" does not appear in any file in the project folder, based on a Find search done in both R
