Hi,This morning I compiled WebHelp and opened it in FireFox (FF) 35. The left pane with the TOC panel is blank. Index and search are blank, too. This appears to be an issue with FF 35. Help will open in FF 34 without any issues. Help also opens in IE and Chrome without problems. I tested this on multiple machines and both versions of FF. None of my RH or FF settings were changed. The only difference was the FF auto update yesterday. Does anyone have any idea how this can be fixed? Thanks,Tammy
Hi all. I want to add a text pop up when the user clicks on a certain part of an image, but I can only add one on the entire image. How do I do this please?
When I delete a token how can I find out later in the code, that I already deleted it - before I save! There exists a Token.delete() function but e.g. no Token.isDeleted().
Hi,I am running RH 11 (installed in Program Files x86) on a Win 7 (64 bit) machine. I have just created a brand new project with a lot of folders/subfolders and only one Welcome topic. This project compiles just fine using the RoboHelp GUI. However, when I run RHCL from the command prompt, it refuses to run. Here are the details of the command and results:from c:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe RoboHelp 11\RoboHTMLc:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe RoboHelp 11\RoboHTML>rhcl "c:\knowledgecenter\knowledgecenter.xpj" -l "WebHelp"Adobe (R) RoboHelp Project Command Line Compiler version 11.0.4.291Copyright (C) 2006-2007, Adobe Systems Incorporated and its licensors. First of all, thanks to everyone who offered suggestions to help with my bullet-spacing problem; I think I've got it solved. However, when I view said bulleted items using the View Selected Item button, the bulleted items appear far more indented than they are in the compiled version. The compiled version actually resembles what I see in the workspace. For what it's worth, here's the HTML: <p class="WD_BodyText">There is some text here:</p> <ul style="list-style: square;"> <ul style="list-style: square;"> <li><p class="WD_Normal" style="margin-left: 5px; margin-top: 0px; &nb
RH 11 WebhelpThank youProblemI installed custom fonts and they mostly work. One topic didn't display correctly, so I tried to tweak the new font code using the RH css editor and then the HTML Editor. However, these attempts overwrote the notepad.exe css, such as removing font names. It seems like using notepad.exe is the only way to add additional code to the css (shown in step 5). How can I straighten things out? Here are the steps leading up to the problem1. Downloaded and extracted the google fonts.2. Double-clicked each font separately and installed it to the computer.3. Added each font family as a baggage file.4. Using notepad.exe, edited the css fonts.5. Added this code to notepad.exe css to fix a Chrome bug that prevented displaying the new fonts:@-webkit-keyframes fontfix { from: "{" "opacity:" 1;};body { font-family: Roboto; font-size: 11px; color: #000000; margin: 10px 16px auto;}body { -webkit-animation-delay: 0.1s; -webkit-anim
I have a merged Responsive HTML5 WebHelp project in RoboHelp 11, which I've published to SharePoint. I am seeing some confusing behavior when using the search functionality within the WebHelp. In particular:With Chrome.......If I enter a single word without quotation marks in the search window, I get a page of results. If I open any one of those results, the term that I searched for is highlighted. This is how I would expect the search functionality to work.If I enter a two-word phrase within quotation marks, I get a page of results, but the search term is not highlighted when I open one of the results. With IE11 (which I think is a lost cause for other reasons!)......I get the right number of search results, but the search term is not highlighted regardless of whether or not I use quotation marks. This pretty much renders the search functionality useless.Any advice?
I like the combination of the Theme 1 Standard screen layout and the low profile CHM, but I can't seem to find a way to apply that layout when publishing/generating the output. Anyone have a clue? I've included a screenshot of what I'm referring to. THANKS!
I have a large document that I'd like to format using multilevel lists. There are several areas where numbered list items have more than one paragraph. For each list item, the subsequent paragraphs need to be properly aligned with the first paragraph. Other than manually specifying the indent for the subsequent paragraphs, is there any way to use the Multilevel List feature in the css? I thought I could create an alternate Multilevel List that had the same levels but no list style, but RoboHelp doesn't seem to allow a blank in the 'Edit Style' field.Any ideas?
Window focus is not working if the output is already opened in the new window. This works in chrome. But not in Firefox/IE. Can you please help me with this? Thanks
Can I update/replace an entire topic somehow? Background: I have a word main doc with links to sub-docs. For RH usage all sub-docs have to be merged to one main word-file (otherwise RH reports an error) before. Then I import the big main wordfile into RH which creates all topics (and images, index,..).If I later want to change just one sub-doc I have to redo all the previous steps?!How can I import just such a sub-doc to RH and then replace in the main-RH file (including all the image, links)?
I have a FM/RoboHelp (Microsoft HTML Help) project. It works like a dream locally. However, when I upload the project to our web server, it no longer runs and an error message displays that says, "web page canceled." What could possibly be wrong? How can I get my project to work on our remote web server?
There is too large a gap between the numbers and the text in my numbered lists; I can't find anywhere on the .css file to set this value. Can this be done?thanks,Lon
Hello, I'm using Robohelp 10 and Word 2010, both products are installed locally on a legal copy of Windows 7 Enterprise. Robohelp is current as I checked for updates yesterday. I have tried many different help projects ranging from 10-2000 topics with the same results. I have deleted the PSS files first, and see the same results.Starting Robohelp and double-clicking Printed Documentation results in this error message ( I also see the same message when generating WebHelp however the compile is always successful):After clicking ok the Print Document General screen appears, the same message pops up, and all drop-down menus are blank:It is possible to continue clicking Next after manually entering the location and file name. After arriving at the final screen, I am able to click Save and Generate with no further errors,However nothing happens except the word Ready appears in the status bar.If anyone has encountered this before or knows where I might find a solution posted previously I would
Hi guys,Perhaps someone can help. I have a book created in FM12 with multiple files and a properly configured TOC with 2 levels. I have linked the Frame book, updated the Frame files, imported the Frame TOC file and checked that all the single source settings are correct. However RH11 fails to create/populate the TOC. The HTML files are created just not the TOC. Zilch. Nadda.Any words of wisdom? Thanks,Andy
How can I assign a button to a .jsx for quicker access? Currently I have to use 6 mouseclicks and 3 keyboard strokes!!
I am writing help for a new web application that is developed in Sitecore. The plan was to provide webhelp which would double as a simple support site with links to other downloadable user documents. It would be easy for me to update so that the users would always have the latest info. However the developers now tell me that Sitecore likes to hold everything within its own framework and doesn't like to link out to external files. So they are asking if I can create the help within Sitecore itself.I am wondering if this really is the answer (if so I will have to learn Sitecore editing which will make it a much larger project) and can't help thinking there must be a way to integrate the two. Does anyone out there have any experience with linking to webhelp (or any other RH output) from a Sitecore application? Thanks.
Hello All,I created a custom CSS file and tested it on an HTML page outside of RoboHelp. I turned the HTML page into a master page with a link to the custom CSS and imported the page into the project. I also placed the CSS file in my project root folder. When I create a new topic with the master page applied, I expect to see an outline of the divs in the custom CSS and, since this is a WYSIWYG editor, the colors included. I do not see that.I've created a work around but I'm wondering why the master page isn't working as expected. Any thoughts?Ginger Shew-Stuckey
Could WebHelp content be integrated into a Sitecore website in order to provide a look and feel which is consistent with existing content on the site? I am hoping to find a process that would allow the existing links and TOC to work within the Sitecore environment, rather than having to add content in a completely manual way. Any advise would be much appreciated.
After a "Find" action, there opens a new HTM edit window which uses a non fixed pitch font. Where can I can change this font style?
I am working on a merged help project with a responsive HTML5 layout and publishing to SharePoint. It's all mostly working but I have a couple of issues:The previous / next buttons don't show up using IE11; they do show using Chrome. Does anyone know how to make this work with IE11?When clicking on the prev / next buttons (in Chrome, obviously), the content shifts but the highlight in the left hand navigation pane doesn't. Is there any way to have the highlight on the left side properly aligned with the content in the reading pane? Thanks for any ideas!
In my master page footer, I have a hyperlink set up to go to "#". This SHOULD reload the topic and display it from the top. However, it's not working. I'm seeing a "page cannot be displayed" error dialog. Looking at the HTML in the browser, the hyperlink is going to "..\..\#" instead of "#" (which is what I see in the HTML editor in RH). How can I get this link working properly? The output is WebHelp, and the project is stored in My Documents/My RoboHelp Projects.Thank you!
I'm working on a manual in RoboHelp 11, and we're working on going from a WebHelp Pro output to Responsive HTML5. While we make this transition, we're making some updates throughout the documentation, and the issue of creating relative links has been one we've struggled with for a while. Currently, all of our documents are created in Word and then linked to the project. Wherever there are related help topics, we've linked them in the Word doc. The problem with that approach is that when we make this move to a different project (or if in future a document is moved) all of the links will need to be updated, because they point to the absolute location rather than the relative location of the topic. We've tried creating relative links in the Word documents, and it doesn't seem to work. We can't create the relative links in RoboHelp because we would lose those changes every time we update our linked documents. I'm hoping to find someone who has written a script to be run before the single s
About to move our RoboHelp 11 projects to source control. We have MS Visual Studio 2013. Are they compatible?
Hello, all.I am experiencing a problem with the glossary on my published .chm file. First off, it does not seem to be the 64-bit HHActiveX.dll registration issue discussed here (and several other places). I have the 64-bit dll registered. The problem is that when I publish the .chm, on initial viewing it displays a completely blank Glossary tab (as is symptomatic of the wrong HHActiveX dll being registered, and discussed in detail in this forum). When I close that version of the file and reopen it, I get a better, but still empty glossary; it displays fields for Term and definition, but they're empty. My .glo file contains many terms. Here's what I see:The Contents, Index, and Search tabs appear fine. Here's what I've done to troubleshoot so far (none of these make any difference): Searched every HTML Help forum topic that includes the word glossary.Created a new dummy glossary and tried publishing with that one instead. (The fact that the problem persists when I created a brand new .glo
