Adobe Premiere 3d stereoscopic (non 360!!) workflow without plugins

Hey all,

Is there anybody that has a tutorial or lead on a solid 3d (L.eye/R.eye) stereoscopic Premiere CC editing and exporting workflow, that doesn't involve 3rd party plugins or channel shifting trickery? I am putting a dual camera rig together and have not found any tips on the proper post 3d workflow from the past 2 years. Most are from the 2010 -13 era. Thank you!

We don't get a lot of 3D questions here.  If a plug-in works, why not use it?

Hey man, same boat!  Working with two gopro Session 4s until I get it figured out well enough to want to invest in high-res solutions, BUT.

Skybox just recently integrated with Premiere and After Effects.  All of their integraeted effects are listed under Immersive Video Effects.

It seems to mostly cater to 360 video, but I've found that using the effect "VR Plane to Sphere" it turns 2D footage to spherical for use with headsets.  It's primary purpose is to convert 2D text/graphics into an overlay on 360 footage, but by using it in MONOSCOPIC mode and DOUBLING YOUR WIDTH for both eyes individually and manually creating the SBS or vertical dual video frame it works.

I just use Vegas Pro or even just Vegas Movie Studio for 3D, as it has integrated 3D tools. Sony was quite on the 3D bandwagon back then, so they put a lot of effort into making it easy to work with in Vegas.

Here's a tutorial for it that I found:
