Question

How to save print setup for pdf file so that every user can open and print w/o manually performing?

Can is there a way to configure the print settings (i.e. paper size, orientation, etc.) and save this setting as part of the pdf file? I would like the users of pdf files to be able to open the file and simply print, without having to manually configure the print settings.

Hi I see a few lengthy replies here, but all I simply want to do is, for a document, when I click Print from a document, and see the Printing options, not to have to change my preference from the usual default (which might be A4 separate pages, or A4 booklet, whatever, to, say: A3 booklet, AND FOR ADOBE TO REMEMBER, FOR THIS DOCUMENT, TO PRINT A3 BOOKLET,  SO I DON'T HAVE TO SET IT UP EACH TIME FOR THIS DOCUMENT. Please forgive the capital letters but this indicates my level of frustration!

....and going into Advanced Document properties does not solve this problem - nowhere can I specify A3....

Hi!  Is it possible to configure Acrobat to ignore a document's preset print settings?  I didn't find anything suggesting so in the Preferences, and I receive a document with what can only be described as an inconvenient preset on a regular basis.  Anything that could help me out here would be greatly appreciated!

Use the Advanced tab in the properties of the document.

Can outline the process besides selecting the "Advanced" option? Thanks
