SCORM 2004 and Captivate 9 (Saba LMS)

I'm running in to an issue with a course not completing when exported for SCORM 2004 3rd ed. from Captivate 9.

Some details:

  • The course will complete using SCORM 1.2
  • The log indicates both the cmi.completion_status and cmi.success_status have values of "unknown"
  • Have tried a variety of settings (send resume data checked and unchecked, exit to normal after completion checked and unchecked, etc.)
  • Courses do work in SCORM 2004 on the SCORM Cloud and a different LMS
  • Have been able to get SCORM 2004 to work using Captivate 8 and Lectora X.6 forward, so know SCORM 2004 works on the LMS

Are there known issues with Saba and SCORM 2004 courses exported by Captivate 9? Any insights on how to resolve or adjust Captivate 9 settings or output so that it will track/score in Saba?

Thanks

I'd suggest you create a very simple lesson and mirror the SCORM 2004 settings from your Captivate 8 project.

You might also ask in a Saba related forum, as it will be a narrower audience.

i think for 2004 you need to set completion status, success criteria, and check the three boxes when uploading in saba

LMSSetVal('cmi.core.lesson_status','completed');

LMSSetVal('cmi.success_status','passed');
