Selected file dose not contain audio media used by clip references in one or more sequences

I just installed the newest version of Premiere Pro CC now when I try and import a MTS file I get no audio associated and I get the message in the title when I try and reconnect media on an older project.  I have tried emptying media cache I have moved media tried bringing in the whole file structure from the card pretty much everything I have found as suggestions on the forums but still no luck.  I have even uninstalled and run cleaner and reinstalled PP this is very frustrating.  I have successfully imported a video that is an MP4 previously exported and it worked but I transcoded media to Mp4 and still came in with no audio.  I need new suggestions or someone to tell me how to fix this issue.

Ok so I solved the old projects not loading audio by doing a full clean install of CC and deleting all references to adobe that I could find from the machine  but now any new files I try and bring in that are currently .MTS still won't recognize audio that is with the clip

I've seen a lot of Mac users reporting this.

It's likely the Dolby audio.

Any Ideas on how to fix?

Well, I had no problems with version 12.0.0 on Windows 10 Pro.

I am having some difficulties with 12.0.1.  So if you follow Step 4 below and install 12.0.0, that might work.

Sooo, this MIGHT solve your problem:

Move those files to a different folder. Relink them in Premiere.

Didn't solve the problem?

Try renaming one of the files. Reimport it.

If all else fails, you can always transcode the audio using handbrake or Audacity or something. 😕

This still hasn't been fixed? I've tried everything i can, I uninstalled the program changed files, restarted my computer, but some of these are just temporary fixes. It works for a couple of minutes and it just falls apart.

edit:

Okay, so adobe no longer supports Dolby, I don't even think my videos use dolby i tried regular videos i downloaded from youtube and still, it doesnt work. nothing works.

This happened to me when I was using CC 2017 on High Sierra OSX. I downgraded to Sierra OSX and files linked fine.
