Adobe has shady payment practices

I had a card that I was using for the Adobe for a small period of time.  That card was changed and in reading Adobe cancel accounts verbiage it said it would automatically cancel my accounts.  I didn't need them anymore and they are too expensive for what they provide.

They somehow, which I now understand under cut with their fine print able to get with my bank and get another account to auto charge.  I immediately canceled the accounts but here is their other under cut, charging me for the rest of my apparent aggreement.  This is shady and will not use them again for my business and not recommend them.  I will have to use those that over pay for their licensed software if I need it.

You must Cancel https://helpx.adobe.com/manage-account/using/cancel-subscription.html

-or have Adobe support cancel your subscription using the "autoOpen" Chat link below
-Do be aware that cancelling early means paying 1/2 of the remaining subscription time as a fee
-This is cancelling AFTER the trial converts to paid and BEFORE the end of the subscription
-Not using the program(s) does not mean you do not have to pay

-If you rent a car and park it in your garage and never drive it, or you rent an apartment and you never live in it, you are still obligated to pay

I was just making a factual statement, not looking for things to change.  Have already been through their chaos they call support.

for others, explicitly cancel your account, if that's what you want to do. trying to avoid payment by other means is problematic.

I wholeheartedly agree; this situation certainly raises questions. I initially opted for the trial version but found it to be far from satisfactory. Despite my dissatisfaction, I was unexpectedly billed, and I now face the burden of a substantial $130 cancellation fee. From my perspective, Adobe Stock fails to justify such a cost, especially since I haven't found a single image on the platform that aligns with my project needs.

This situation deeply troubles me, as the sum involved holds significant meaning for me as a current student. Moreover, the considerable amount of time and resources I've had to invest in resolving this issue has only exacerbated the frustration. It is my strong belief that Adobe Stock should reconsider their pricing structure and refrain from imposing cancellation fees, especially when there are superior and more affordable resources available online.

@Ariunaa32295565zijd

is not clear why you have any cancellation fee.  did you cancel during the trial period?  if so, there is not fee.

in that case, contact adobe support.  there are 2 ways to contact adobe; chat and twitter:

chat:
use a browser that allows popups and cookies
and click here, https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen
in the chat field (lower right), type AGENT
be patient, it can take quite a while to reach a human.

twitter:
tweet @AdobeCare

p.s. if you're contacted by anyone (via email or private message), it's much more likely to be a scammer than an adobe representative. ie, double check for an employee badge if contacted in the forums and look for an adobe.com domain in the email address if you click reply to an email. then check again and be very suspicious. any other method of contacting (or offering to contact you) is almost certainly a scam, https://community.adobe.com/t5/using-the-community-discussions/staying-safe-in-the-adobe-support-com...
