Hey there,
Last month, Adobe Systems suddenly started charging me a monthly fee of 141,94€.
I had not subscribed to any Adobe products recently, so I reached out to Adobe's customer service to find out what subscription these charges might be for.
Turns out there are no Adobe subscriptions associated with with my credit card or email at all. They also suggested that the claim might be fraudulent in nature and that I should terminate my credit card and reach out to my bank about it. [I have saved the transcript of the conversation with customer service, if that helps! ]
I did that, but according to my bank they could not confirm any fraudulent activity and I should get in touch with the merchant again. Hence I am now making this post. Maybe someone has seen this before?
Has someone else experienced something similar recently? There are a few bits and pieces here that are strange. For one, 141,94€ is apparently the annual price for a subscription of Adobe Cloud. However, the claim is set to be monthly, which adds up to a whopping 1703,28€ per year. Does Adobe even have subsciptions in this price range?!

you (or a family member) either used your credit card, or it's fraud.
if the former, re-contact adobe support. if the latter, re-contact your credit card provider.

My credit card provider just told me to reach out to Adobe about it. Which I did. They don't seem to have my credit card their system at all though. So it seems that it's not Adobe charging the card.
Which now leaves me in an impossible situation. After all, how am I supposed to cancel a non-existent subscription?

report your findings to your credit card issuer. keep the documents where adobe reported no record of that credit card.

Hey kglad!
Thanks for the response! 😄
I already tried that - they just sent me back to Adobe, unfortunately.
So now I'm a little lost.
I guess it boils down to one question: Is there even an Adobe service at the price point of 141,94€ per month? If not, it's 100% clear that I am dealing with a scam.

if that's 141+ euros per month, the only thing from adobe that expensive would be a teams or enterprise license that allows assigning licenses to multiple users.

Huh! I suppose that more of less confirms it.
I checked and apparently the Creative Cloud suite costs 141,94€ ... but per year, not per month. That's a classic scammer technique. Just take an existing number and reuse it in the wrong context to sow confusion.

Hey Nancy,
Thanks for the response!
It's not so much about the email-adress. According to Adobe there is not a paid subscription registered on my credit card at all. However, the claimant appears to be "Adobe Systems".
I checked with my bank and they could not find any traces of fraud on their end, so it has to be on Adobe's side.
However, this leaves me no recourse. After all, how would I cancel a subscription that does not exist?

That's why I said to check with Google or Apple Store or maybe Amazon.
Adobe.com doesn't have a record of apps/services obtained from 3rd parties.

This happened with my account as well. I have been charged monthly sum of Rs.638 for a subscription that does not exist!
It deducts under the name of Adobe.systems. I don't even know where this money is going to!
Adobe, when you know that you have tons of the same issue being reported in your community and across various forums, why haven't you taken any step in avoiding this scam. The least is try to improve your payment services across.
Building a bad reputation for a software that will soon go obsolete, try fizzling out with some respect at the least.

Hi @SreeM3,
Thank you for reaching out.
Upon reviewing your account, I can confirm that there is an active Creative Cloud All Apps Individual plan associated with the Adobe ID used to submit this query. You are being billed only for this plan, and I can see transactions related solely to this subscription.
You mentioned being charged a monthly amount of ₹638 for a subscription that doesn’t appear to exist. I understand how concerning that must be. I recommend reviewing the following Adobe help article, which may help clarify any unexpected charges:

If the information in the article doesn’t resolve your concern, I suggest contacting your bank to dispute the charge and request further clarification.
Please let us know if you need any additional assistance—we’re here to help.

If you're absolutely certain that you or a family member didn't subscribe, contact your bank. They'll ask you to sign some legal papers to file a fraud report & launch an investigation with local law enforcement. They may also close your account to future charges and issue you a new payment card.
Hope that helps.
