You didn't say which plan you purchased, but if you purchase an annual plan (paid monthly) it is deeply discounted from the regular price. You can cancel without penalty if you cancel within 14 days. The discount is for subscribing for a full year, so there is a cancellation fee for stopping early.
If you purchase a monthly plan at full price, then you can cancel without penalty at any time.

The OP did not ask how to cancel. They specifically asked how to cancel without penalty. The help page you posted simply links to the page I posted earlier.
A refund depends on when you cancel and the type of subscription you purchased. For most plans, you get a full refund if you cancel within 14 days of your initial purchase. Learn if you get a refund when you cancel.
