Cancellation was not acknowlegded and now have to pay a monthly fee or a high cancellation fee

I tried Adobe's free trial - cancelled in time before the 7 days elapsed. They still took the monthly fee off and now I am unable to cancel without paying a R2 500 cancellation fee. I am unable to find a contact number. This is ridiculous and will definitely not be renewing the year (hopefully they actually let me cancel).

I do not use Adobe enough to pay this fee each month. Any advice on going forward?

Hi there,

I have reviewed your account details and found an Adobe Acrobat (individual) subscription registered on it. I am moving your question to the correct community; experts there will be able to better assist you.

In the meantime, you may review our cancellation terms and conditions here: https://adobe.ly/4fNkjvh or contact support to cancel your subscription. Click on the chat icon at the bottom right corner of the following page to start a chat with the support team: https://adobe.ly/3Z7NfqC;

Hope this helps.

you can discuss with adobe support, but for others, make sure you receive an email acknowledging your cancellation, or otherwise have some record of successfully cancelling.

there are 2 ways to contact adobe support; chat and twitter (now x):

chat:
if you have or want to purchase a subscription, use a browser that allows popups and cookies
and click here, https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen
in the chat field (lower right), type AGENT
be patient, it can take quite a while to reach a human.

twitter/x:
tweet @AdobeCare

p.s. if you're contacted by anyone (via email or private message), it's much more likely to be a scammer than an adobe representative.

Hi there,

We hear you. As per your account details, you have an active subscription since last 2 months and 8 days. You must have received a confirmation email when you canceled your subscription. Could you check that?
Looking forward to your response.

Good day,

I was starting a new job when I originally tried the free trial to deal with the contract.

I ensured that I cancelled the trial (I even googled how to cancel) – I remember even completing the reason as to why I was cancelling the trial.

I did not receive a cancellation email but did not think about it at the time.

I was surprised to see the amount come off my account the first time – I did not have time to query this balance as I was overwhelmed at my new job.

I have had a chance breath and saw what the cancellation fee when I wanted to cancel it again.

Hi there,

We understand your concern. As shared above, your subscription is 2 months old and you can cancel without fee only within first 14 days. Since you are trying to end the contract before 1 year, there will be an early termination fee. Please get in touch with support( link shared above) to get more information around the same.

Thanks
