if you want to cancel but are unable to follow the steps described in the "how to cancel page", contact adobe support.
there are 2 ways to contact adobe; chat and twitter (now x):

in the chat field (lower right), type AGENT
be patient, it can take quite a while to reach a human.

The is no cease and continue option with Adobe subscription if that is what you are interested in. It's either you are subscribed or you are not. So if you don't need the subscription currently you will have to cancel it(this may entail cancellation fees based on the type of your plan). When you are ready to use it again you will need to purchase the plan again.
The best option for you would be to contact Adobe support and discuss your options with them. Follow the instructions given by @kglad
