Need help canceling Student Plan (Renewal triggered huge cancellation fee)

New Here ,

Hi Adobe Community,

I am writing this with a lot of anxiety and hoping someone can guide me on how to resolve a billing issue.

I signed up for the Adobe Creative Cloud Pro Student subscription exactly one year ago, on December 4, 2024. My one-year contract was completed yesterday.

However, the plan has automatically renewed at the higher rate of ₹1,516.30/mo. As a student, I simply cannot afford this price increase. When I tried to cancel the plan through my account page today, the system is demanding a cancellation fee (Early Termination Fee) of ₹8,339.65.

Since my plan only just renewed yesterday, I should technically be within the grace period for the new contract year. Charging me over ₹8,000 to cancel a plan that is only one day into its new term feels incredibly unfair and is financially impossible for me to pay.

Has anyone else faced this immediately after a renewal? Is there a way to get this fee waived so I can end the subscription peacefully?

Any advice or help from an Adobe representative would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Hi Shrivardhan,

We hear you! Adobe sends an email before every renewal, which allows you some time to cancel. Since the subscription has already renewed, I would suggest you to get in touch with Adobe support for the same. Please use this link to contact support: https://adobe.ly/48TEHcY;

Hope this helps.

Thanks
