New 2025 Design Mobile Subscription Options - What’s the Different vs. New Photoshop Mobile Options?

New Here ,
Mar 16, 2025 Mar 16, 2025

I’ve had the Adobe Design Mobile bundle purchased on iPadOS since 2022 now at $149.99. It used to be that the bundle by the same name purchased elsewhere, I think on “Photoshop for iPad," would get you less than the Adobe Express Premium - Adobe Design Mobile Bundle (or maybe there used to be a Creative Cloud mobile app, I can't recall).

Given that PS Express still recognizes me as a "Premium" user  (though it’s pulled from the app store), Premier Rush still seems to work similarly  (maybe), and I seem to have 100GB cloud storage and Adobe Express Mobile Premium, and all of these apps work across iOS and iPadOS, I’m unclear what these new offers for mobile or iPad actually are and I'm coming up on renewal. There’s ZERO solid info across the forums and on Adobe’s page for this, nor is there info within the apps themselves because, as a subscriber, I'm just able to see Apple's subscription page which merely lists the name of the subscriptions and price.

My main questions:

  1.  Is the Adobe Design Mobile: Yearly in Adobe Express on iPadOS the same as the one in Photoshop (on iPadOS AND iOS - since the Photoshop App appears to be identical for iPad and iOS and seems to maybe have that as a subscription option)?
  2. How does “Photoshop Mobile & Web” differ from “Photoshop on the iPad Yearly” (both $69.99) differ, if at all, from each other AND from Adobe Design Mobile: Yearly?
  3.  With ALL of these plans, what’s the deal with GenAI Credits (Firefly), Cloud Storage, Adobe Express “Premium”, Illustrator, and Fresco (on iOS and-or iPadOS)?
  4. Do these still allow me to access PS Express on iOS and iPadOS (even though the app is pulled from the app stores, it still functions for me)?
  5. Is Premiere Rush “Premium” something that exists and is or isn’t included in any of these plans?
  6. Lightroom: do NONE of these mobile (iOS and iPadOS) offer access to Lightroom on iOS or iPadOS? In other words, is Lightroom a separate subscription entirely on iOS/iPadOS?
  7. Does “Creative Cloud Express (Yearly)"  still exist and, if so, what is it? (I believe this is what I had at some point, and it’s listed under Premiere Rush as a subscription option but, I’m not clear on what it is/was.)

Honestly, I appreciate anyone who knows what’s going on since the recent switch to Photoshop on iOS and the resulting sudden removal of PS Express and changing of subscription tiers. It’s impossible to find solid info on this anywhere and the changes would be recent. I’m up for renewal so, not sure what makes sense here.

Note that none of these involve the plans listed on Adobe’s website for the full apps (which would work across PC/Mac as well as mobile, as I’m aware).

Thanks for your help!

I appreciate the response, but it is unfortunately NOT that.

I believe that link is dated 2021 or 2022, and it currently has a broken link to the App Store (that leads to a non-existing page). In any case, that webpage was available when I purchased the bundle and it still wasn't that (and isn't that).

That page tells you that you'll get a few apps only on iPad, which was never true: you got a bunch more depending on whether it was purchased in the Creative Cloud App on iOS vs. the Adobe Express App on iPadOS. There's nothing about cloud storage on that page or the fact that some apps now have iOS counterparts, and that "Photoshop for iPad" App is now just "Photoshop" and that "Photoshop Express" is no longer in the App Store, but existing "Premium Subscriptions" still work and you actually get a "Premium" subscription with the plan. There's nothing about the generative credits which I seem to have and some, but not all, Adobe Scan and Adobe Acrobat "Premium" features. It doesn't tell me whether or not Premiere Rush will continue to be serviced...

so it's actually quite confusing to be in the market for a mobile (iPad/iOS) subscription now given that it's essentially a renewal for a plan that has no guarantees even on the App Store renewal page.

I'll report back if I decide to renew, but it just seems bizarre that there isn't public information sbojt this, especially given that they've shifted around all the apps on iOS and iPadOS.

Again thanks for trying to help! I do appreciate it!
