The moment I try to change it I have to input a verification code sent to said invalid address and I'm stuck.

Correct answer Jeffrey_A_Wright

Unfortunately, I don't the adobe account access app, nor a phone number linked to the account so it seems I can't get it back, but I also can't cancel it because I can't log in neither.

Enlightened the account you are using will work if you click on the Adobe Customer Care link at https://adobe.ly/4oa2Wcj. Please use a different device to contact us. The experience works on a smartphone or tablet if you don't have another computer available. ^JW

Recently, I posted on a different account that I was unable to verify my adobe account because it got registered to a non-existent gmail address. Now, I got locked out of the account entirely because of 2 step verification and can't contact an adobe employee through chat as I have to be logged in to a paid account, so I hoped I could reach out to adobe here.

I already tried both of those methods but it always asks me for a verification code sent to the gmail address.

It says that I have to confirm my previous gmail address via a verification code.
