Remove saved PayPal payment method

There is no way on the Adobe site to disassociate a PayPal account. When you go to Your Account > Edit billing and payment > Edit payment method, you can change between payment methods on PayPal but not remove the account link altogether. While speaking with a customer service representative over live chat, I was told:

"I would like to inform you that we currently do not have the option to remove the saved details. However be rest assured as you have added the credit card it will not charge you on PayPal."

We went back and forth a number of times after that, but the agent was not able to resolve anything for me.

This seems like a major violation of GDPR Right to Erasure and I am highly concerned by this issue.

I think you need to sort this mess out directly with your former employer.

You can cancel your subscription by logging-in below and hit Manage Plan.

If the subscription is NOT in your name, your former employer needs to cancel and create their own subscription plan.

Hope that helps.

I agree this is a huge violation. My paypal is linked to an employers account and I no longer work with them, but they are charging my paypal account, and although i went to paypal and de-authorized the autopayment, i'm not sure it's going to work because my personal account is also tied to my paypal and it seems for the past 6 months i've been charged for the employers account and not my own personal account. This is a mess.

The point is that there should be a way to unlink/remove our PayPal account from our Adobe account, not just use a work-around method. Very odd for such sophisticated tech company.

This is nothing fellow product users can help with.  Sorry.

I'm not losing sleep over a payment method I no longer use.  Neither should you.
