Volume license serial number revoked [was: Community Experts!]

It's revealing how much expertise these "Community Experts actually have. Very little! They can't seem to understand the difference between a licensing issue and a software/compatibilty issue. Then the lock the topic so you can't point out their ignorence.

I'll just have to start a new thread....

 

So let me clear up a few things, but first I have to say this...Anyone that is backing or supporting Adobe in this issue has already destroyed their own credibility and does not deserve any attention. That said....

 
I purchased a Volume License and by the licensing agreement in most any Volume License Agreement, the license is 1. Perpetual, 2. Upgradeable (according to the Volume License Plan details). Perpetual licenses are valid for life and do not expire but can be revoked "and" replaced if the key becomes compromised. The only way they can revoke and "NOT" replace the key is by providing a purchase price refund.
 
When you buy a software license, you are buying the license, not the software. They do not have to fix broken software that is EOL but they do have to maintain the license agreement for the term of the license. In this case, life.
 
Furthermore, Adobe broke this by irresponsibly and without just cause, breaching the license agreement by disabling the key and not replacing it.
 
They broke it and they need to fix it or give me my money back.

so am guessing you tried to install or re-install when you received this message of revoke, sometimes the only recourse you have is outside of adobe, odds are support will not help and you can't get pass support to voice your issue.

it is sad but this is how it works at adobe.

That appears to have been purchased from a third party reseller.

Perhaps they sold that serial number more than once, and it took Adobe a long time to discover that.

If that is the case, the reseller is the party responsible for the revocation.

Please read the entire thread. Adobe sent me an email saying the key was
mistakenly revoked and has been reactivated but the key still doesn’t work.
The revocation message comes from the Adobe licensing service (packet
capture) so the problem is on the Adobe end. They just can’t seem to figure
it out. Or maybe they just don’t want to figure it out.
