Question

1 in 20... "the file could not be opened. It may be damaged or use a file format the Preview doesn’t

(Acrobat Pro on a Mac) Occasionally when I attach an image to a comment I get an error message that says “the file could not be opened. It may be damaged or use a file format the Preview doesn’t recognize.”

What I’m baffled about is that the source and workflow for the images that are rejected this way or no different than the others which worked 90% of the time. I tried all kinds of tricks preparing the images a different resolutions and even doing screen grabs but nothing seems to work, any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Paul

Are you sure you're using Acrobat and not Apple Preview?

I'm "authoring" in Acrobat but the embedded comment (paperclip) images open in preview. Works fine for 48 out of 50. The two that give the error, seem no differrent than the rest

Sounds like an issue with Preview, then.
