2023 Price Increase for Adobe Pro -

Outrageous price increase 33.5% from $179.88 to $239.88 from 2022. I can think of very few products or services with this type of increase.  They've got us though . . . a virtual monopoly.

Yeah, this is a joke. Scrooge McDuck must be running this company. It was already way too expensive before the price increase.

Yes, outrageous. My monthly subscription for 5 users went from $84.95 to $119.95. That is a 41.2% increase. I understand inflation and the impact, but this company is just greedy times 4. Unfortunately, one of my critical software packages requires Adobe Acrobat. Otherwise, I would switch to Nitro Pro or something else.

i have been with adobe using this product for over a decade.  i dont mind a small price increase, but during these difficult times, to slam us with such whoppign rise, is bad judgement.  We do have other options and as a result will be migrating out of Adobe.   We have a dozen licenses so it adds up.

I had the same increase to my subscription.  It's going to make me move to the standard version once my current subsription period is up.  The extras in the Pro version were nice to have on the rare occasion I needed them, they're just not worth that much of an increase.

NB. Acrobat is far from a monopoly. There are plenty of other applications out there that can create and edit PDF files. It is the industry standard, though.

You can see exactly what you're paying for by logging into your account.

https://account.adobe.com/plans

Subscription rates in North America have increased only 3 times since 2012.  If you're paying 35% more it's most likely to do other factors:

  • Your intro price ended after the first year.
  • You're no longer receiving educational rates.
  • Or regional factors such as taxes, software tarrifs or currency fluctuations.  There's nothing Adobe can do about regional factors.

If you think you're payinig more than you should be, contact Adobe.

Today, I got the following as part of an email:

"We are updating our price of Acrobat Pro from USD89.94 annually to USD239.88 (plus tax, as applicable*) annually which will be reflected at your next renewal date."

A 267% increase with no explanation? Not good marketing or customer relations, IMO.

You must have had some special deal, because the price of Acrobat only changed from $15 a month in 2022 (or $180 yearly) to $20 a month (or $240 per year) in 2023. Still a substantial rise, but I'm not aware of it ever being less than $90 per year, at least not any time recently. I checked back to 2020 and it was $13 then, or $156 annually.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post if it helps you get responses.
