@brendan30784499ened  are you opening the PDF file on the web and referring to the download icon appears at the upper right corner on the Acrobat Chrome extension to save/download the file?

Something like this 

• If yes, then click on the three dots and select Open on Desktop. 
• Then follow the steps for saving the file (shared above, too) File>Save as 

If none of the suggestions work, then please share the screenshots of what you are exactly referring to for better understanding.

Does Save As work from the File menu? (Or, if there is no File menu, the "hamburger menu")?
