Does you use Acrobat with the old or new UI?

Hi @the_PPE

I hope you're doing well, and I appreciate you reaching out to us.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble with your PDF files. I understand how frustrating that can be. To better assist you, could you please let me know if this issue is specific to a particular PDF file or if it's affecting all the PDFs you're trying to work with? It might be helpful to test with a different PDF file to see if the problem persists.

In order to address this, could you provide me with the version of Adobe Acrobat DC you are currently using? To check the version, you can go to Help > About Acrobat. It's important to ensure that you have the most recent version, which should be 23.03.20284. If not, you can go to Help > Check for updates and then restart your computer once the update is complete.

If the issue persists, you might also want to try repairing the installation from the Help menu. Please note that this option is available on Windows systems only.

Another potential solution is to reset the Acrobat preferences to their default settings. You can follow the instructions provided in this link: https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-default/td-p/4792082

If the problem still persists after trying the above steps, it would be very helpful if you could collect the Adobe Creative Cloud logs using the instructions provided here: https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-log-collector.html
Additionally, if you're on a Windows system, you could also collect Procmon logs using this guide: https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/acromonitor.html

Once you have these logs, please upload them to a cloud storage service and generate a shareable link. You can then provide us with the link so that we can further investigate the issue.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we work to resolve this matter.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any further questions or concerns.

Warm regards,
Amal

Hi Amal and thanks for your reply.

The problem occured right after update to the version 23.003.20284. The PDF file I created minutes before the update was fine. I tested with a scientific paper with I created 2 months ago: If I create a new PDF file, the pagination gets mixed up. Also I also had to submit my newest paper with the wrong pagination today, which is really annoying.

I tried repairing the installation - the problem persists. Will try the other steps when I find the time, but I am pretty sure the new version is somehow bugged.
