Question

Acrobat 11 PRO: Using additional "form logic" in a pdf like in MS-EXCEL ?

Dear PDF-creators,

I still have not installed Acrobat 11 PRO

and there are several questions where I have not found an answer in the tutorials, to implement a pdf:

(1) Opportunities like in Excel, to implement an additional "form logic" controlling more cell results:

Examples:

(1.1)

= IF (ANZAHL2 (C5; G5; J5; C6; G6; C9; C10; C11; A14, D37, D38, D39; (A44;I44) = 14; " OK"; NOK")

    (C5; G5; J5; C6; G6; C9; C10; C11; A14, D37, D38, D39; A44; I44: mandatory fields)

= IF (T6 = 1;" €";" $")

(ANZAHL2: Determines the number of filled out mandatory fields)

(2) Possibility to use a plausibility check after a click a button

Example: If no or all required fields are filled out, then the file can be printed or saved

(3) Regarding MS-Excel: Is it possible to use someting like a SVERWEIS?

Like I'm sending to an EXCEL file that demonstrates the above requirements.

The file at Klein@RENEDI.de request.

Thank you for answers.

Regards,

Jürgen klein

1) That's certainly possible.

2) Limiting saving/printing of PDF files is possible, to some extent. You can't forbid a user from doing it entirely, but you can show an error message or force the printed/saved copy to be blank. See this tool I've developed: Custom-made Adobe Scripts: Acrobat -- Validate Required Fields Before Printing or Saving

3) That seems to be some kind of Excel function in German. It's probably possible to do it in Acrobat, but you'll need to explain what it does, exactly, if you want further help with it.

And since you're asking us for help then you should share the file with us (via Dropbox, Google Drive, Adobe Cloud, etc.). Don't expect us to email you for this file, unless you're looking to hire someone to do it for you.
