Acrobat DC 20 how Prevent PDF's opening in Internet Explorer (IE)

Hi 

i have windows 10 1909 with acrobat dc 17.021.20058

and i want prevet IE open PDF files from all users 

So far I have defined

file associations of PDF /PDX / PDFXML  with Acrobat

Hi there

 

We are sorry for the trouble. As described you want to stop the PDFs getting open in IE and you have already defined file associations of PDF /PDX / PDFXML with Acrobat.

 

Pleae try the following steps and see if that works for you .

 

  1. Open Internet Explorer, and choose Tools > Manage Add-ons.
  2. Under Add-on Types, select Toolbars and Extensions.
  3. In the Show menu, select All Add-ons.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

4. In the list of add-ons, select Adobe Acrobat/ Reader.

5.Click Disable to turns off the add-on so it does not open PDFs in the browser.
