Question

Acrobat DC does not allow me to convert Excel files to PDF

According to Adobe Acrobat DC, you can directly convert an XLSX to PDF; but when entering the file selection menu it does not allow to see or select any excel file.

It also doesn't work by dragging files.

Any solution?

Hi Soycarlospozo,

We are sorry for the trouble. As described above, Acrobat DC does not allow me to convert Excel files to PDF

++ Adding on to the discussion

You can easily convert Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint documents to PDF using the Create PDF tool in Acrobat DC. You can also convert documents without leaving the application using the Acrobat task ribbon in Office for Windows or the Print command in Windows or Mac OS.

Note: No matter which method you use, you must have the original Office application installed on your computer.

For more information, please refer to the steps provided in the help article here: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/acrobat/how-to/create-pdf-files-word-excel-website.html

Let us know how it goes

Regards

Amal

Hi. I used the "create pdf" option to try to convert the excel files to PDF, but I was not allowed in any way to select the .xlsx files, although before selecting the files they tell you that they are compatible. With the previous version of Adobe Acrobat it worked without problems, but since leaving the CC 2020 suite it stopped working, at least to me.

It should be noted that I have the latest version of office installed on my PC, completely original software.

Data: I use Windows 10.

In the openning dialog box you will find a little dropdown, it allows to choose between "Adobe PDF files" (default) and "All files".

Don't ask me why this default setting it is not the most useful.
