Acrobat DC, fillable form. How do I create fillable field, with instruction text, that disappears when the field is actually being filled in?

Hey! It's me again! And it's you again! 🙂 I was genuinely delighted when I clicked through on the link you provided above and saw that it's you there as well! lol

 

If I should start a new thread please let me know. 🙂

 

I entered the 3 pieces of script you provided at that link above into my PDF document and was tickled to see the gray text pop up.

 

And then again when that gray text disappeared when I entered text into the field. But the text I entered into the field wasn't black, it was the same gray as the disappearing text.

 

I realize that that solution is several years old now and I'm wondering if maybe there was a change or something to Adobe that requires something additional to the script to make the entered text be black? If that makes sense?
