Question

Acrobat DC - Outlook plugin - convert to PDF - outcome font size small

I converted an outlook e-mail with Acrobat DC plugin.

The outcome PDF showed the font was small as ant, I had to zoom in 600% to see it clear.

I know the plugin has auto-fit funtion, but can I manage the setting?

Or I have to edit the PDF by hand after converted the e-mail?

PS the email font size is 12pt as normal, but it was a very long mail, about 20 pages(normal print out).

This is an issue for me as well.

I think selecting Microsoft Print to PDF as the printer is the best way to accomplish this.

Hi @Nina3739675958hr,

Hope you are doing well. Thanks for writing in!

While I understand that printing using Microsoft Print to PDF worked for you, I would like to know if the page settings and margins were set according to your availability.

You can check for the properties of the PDF created using the properties button as shown in the screenshot.

Hope this helps.

The easiest way to save in full size print - is to tell it to print - along the left hand side is a button - Save as Adobe PDF.

If you go to Print > Print to PDF the text seems to come out at a normal size

that is true, but it doesn't print out any attachments then

I had the same issue. I found out the email was sent as HTML and converted to plain text by security policy. If I clicked on the banner it gives me the option to 'display as HTML' which restores the page sizes. After that the save as Adobe PDF looks normal.

Hey Mickey,

I have the same issue.  Where is the banner?  Here's what I did - In Outlook, I highlight the message I want to convert to PDF, I click the Acrobat plugin, I choose Selected Message, I choose Create new pdf. Then the save as dialog screen comes up and I save the file to a location.  And then the converted PDF automatically opens.  I don't see a banner with options. Thx.

Hey there,

Sorry for the delay in response to your question.

This is correct, by default plugin has auto-fit function and there is no such preferences setting that allows the plugin to change the font size.

Ideally it should be exactly same as its in original content. Are you experiencing this issue with any email that you convert to PDF? Haven't tried yet, then please check with other mail too.

If it gives the same result, then you may try disabling-enabling the Acrobat plugin from Outlooks Add-ins.

You may make sure that,

1- You have got the latest update for Acrobat installed. Open Acrobat>Help>check for update

2- Should have all the MS Office update installed. If not, then please check once.

3- Make sure that email has real text, not an image or some short of screen capture.

Thanks,

Akanchha

Any update to this response?  I am having the same problem and none of the steps listed fixed it.
