Acrobat Disable Automatic Page Display on Document Scrolling

Good day all,

If I open the document and the first several pages portrait as I scroll through the document and come across a page set to landscape, the zoom factor will automatically adjust to display the full page. When I then scroll back to the portrait page, it will be too small to read and I would therefore need to manually zoom in.

Is there some way t disable this auto zoom out feature? If so can this be a document specific setting, which is saved when the document is saved?

Thanks

Go to File - Properties - Initial View and change the Magnification setting to something other than one of the "Fit ..." options.

I just tried that, and PDF does indeed open in whatever magnification I preset and simple scrolling does also maintain the magnification. I've just noticed though, that if you click on a specific bookmark the auto-magnification returns.

Then you also need to change the zoom level associated with the bookmarks. That's more difficult, though.

You can either do it manually, or use a standalone tool, like this one I've developed, to process them all at once: Custom-made Adobe Scripts: Batch Edit Zoom Level in Bookmarks
