Question

Acrobat for invoicing multiple customers

Hello,

We’re looking for a tool that can take a batch of invoice PDFs generated weekly, split them by customer, and automatically email each one to the appropriate address from a list we provide. Our current system sends too many emails at once and triggers Microsoft 365 rate limits, so we’re exploring solutions that allow better control over batching and delivery. Ideally, we’d prefer something on-premise or with the ability to throttle outgoing mail.

Can, and then how can, Acrobat be used to such ends?

Thanks

This can probably be automated using a custom-made script, which I can create for you (for a fee, of course), but more information is needed.

If you're interested, feel free to contact me privately by clicking my user-name and then on the blue "Message" button, and we could discuss it further.

Do you use an accounting system? Most of them have that option. If not, you could look into a database such as FileMaker.

For the sake of this inquiry, we do not use an accounting system--the invoices are generated in an application for scale ticketing (think truck scales), then some of the data on the invoices (not all) is imported into our accounting system. The invoice version that the accounting system produces is insufficient for our customers' needs.

As mentioned, you could use a database such as FileMaker or Access. Depending on the complexity, you could even use a mail merge with Word and Excel.
