Started noticing this issue a week or 2 ago. Certain pdfs (probably with certain fonts) do not display correctly in Acrobat. Have tested with pdfs that were saved months ago and used to display properly in Acrobat. They also display square characters like this ▯▯▯ instead of text. Just updated Acrobat Pro to version 2024.003.20054 64-bit on Windows 11 and the problem is still occurring. These pdfs open in Chrome & Firefox without any issues. Seems like an issue with the way Acrobat renders the font.

Hi @Meenakshi Negi,
I've been experiencing what appears to be the same square characters ▯▯▯ for quite some time now.
I updated to DC Continuous 24.003.20112 yesterday, rebooted and immediately after started noticing fonts were intermittently rendering incorrectly, we printed 150+ documents yesterday and this happened twice.
Please see my community post for further information on what I've been experiencing:
Intermittent Font Printing Issue: Characters Display as Black Rectangles printed via Adobe Acrobat
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Ashton

Hi ashton_1084,
Thank you for reaching out, and we are sorry for the delay in response.
If you are still experiencing this issue, please ensure that you are using the latest update of the application. In Acrobat, go to Menu > Help > Check for updates.
You may also refer to the update related information on the following page: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/release-note/release-notes-acrobat-reader.html.
If the issue occurs with a particular PDF, please check if the fonts are embedded. It can be file specific issue as well. Check if you experience similar behavior with other files.
Let us know if you need any help.
Thanks,
Meenakshi

Hi Meenakshi,
We are still expereincing this issue, it's been happening for the better part of a year.
I can confirm the application has been updated this week, and we have reviewed the past few months of release notes and don't see anything specificly relating to this scenario.
The issue happens regardless of whether or not the fonts are embedded in the document. Half of the fonts are embedded but all of them intermittently display the ▯▯▯ characters.
We currently only are set up to print this one document type, the issue is so intermittent whenver we have tested other document types the problem hasn't came up, odds are we would need to print 1000+ documents to run into the issue which is ulrealistic.
Please reference my previosly mentioned community post for further information if needed.
Please let me know if you have any further guidance or assistance you can offer.
Thanks,
Ashton
