Question

Acrobat messes up headers and footers

I updated old documents made in an old version of WORD (97-2003) and tried to make PDFs. The header/footer at the end of the document is messed up - code appears for the header and logo is under the line dividing document text and the header (for the Index chapter and a previous chapter).

I never had this problem until the last Acrobat update.

I am attaching 3 examples of messed up headers and footers from different pages of the document.

I tried saving the document in an updated version of WORD. The headers and footers looked OK but images were missing from the document in the PDF even though they appeared in the WORD document.

Version of Acrobat Pro 2022.001.20142

Thanks.

Judy

Try printing some pages from Word (direct). Do they also show the problem?

How do you create your PDF file?

In Acrobat, File>Create> PDF From File

I even tried in Word, Save as PDF.

Both ways gave the same errors

I'd also try using the Acrobat Ribbon in Word (PDF Maker).  It has always been the preferred/most accurate method for me.

My best,
