Acrobat pro stuck at loading state

Hello Community,

I need some help regarding an issue I'm encountering while attempting to edit a PDF file using Acrobat. The document opens just fine, but the trouble starts when I initiate the editing process. At this point, a pop-up window emerges displaying a loading icon, and thereafter, Acrobat becomes unresponsive.

I’d greatly appreciate any insights or solutions that anyone might have for this issue.

Thank you in advance!

Hi @obsTRap

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for the delay in response.

As shared above, Acrobat becomes unresponsive while editing a pdf file. I assume it happens with a specific file you are working with?

Try these steps and see if that helps:

  • Navigate to Acrobat>Edit>Preferences>Security (Enhanced)>disable "Protected Mode at Start-up," "Protected View," and "Enhanced Security">OK>close and reopen Acrobat and try again.
  • If this file is saved on a cloud location,, then save it locally and start editing.
  • Acrobat and Reader official update  23.003.20215 is now available. This update will be automatically pushed to all existing installations of Acrobat and Reader. If you want, you may also manually trigger the update early by opening the application and going to Help > Check for Updates> rebooting Acrobat.

More information about this release is here: Release Notes | Adobe Acrobat, Reader

Thanks,
