Question

Acrobat unable to open password protected PDF

Tried all possible options but Adobe refuses to open password-protected PDFs. I use the same password to log in to the website and download the file (i.e. I have and use the correct password) but cannot open the document. Furthermore, I tried another software and all works fine, even Adobe on iPad is able to open. The desktop Adobe is still able to open pdfs without the passwords. I already tried re-installing the soft and updating to the latest version, but to no avail, thus this post.

Same here. How did you solve it?

Do you have a password to OPEN the PDF or just to protect it from edits?

Try another computer with Acrobat Pro or swap keyboards.

Also, make sure the upper-left corner of Acrobat says "Acrobat Pro" and not "Acrobat Reader".
