I am attempting to install Acrobat Pro XI on a Win 11 machine.  When trying to execute the "WindowsInstaller-KB893803-v2-x86" application, I almost immediatly receive the error message "Not enough memory resources are available to process this command".

I have 16GB of RAM and 900GB of available disc space.  Running Windows 11 Home 22H2.

People from Adobe don't send you messages, especially about old unsupported versions. But scammers do, offering email support, "reduced price upgrades", offering to sign into your computer to take a look (what harm could a scammer do there...)? Be careful.

I appreciate the heads up, I hadn't had a chance to look through the message.  I just did and it's clearly a scam.

Acrobat XI is an old and unsupported version, and is no longer compatible with Windows 10, or 11, so problems are to be expected. To increase the chances of it working properly make sure you have all updates installed (up to 11.0.23) and run it in Compatibility Mode with an earlier OS, like Windows 7.

Updates are available here:
ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/acrobat/win/11.x/
You must use a dedicated FTP client to open the link, it won't work in most browsers.

At this point, updates aren't possible.  I cannot get the installation to begin.  Someone from Adobe sent me a message, so maybe they will be able to shed some light on this situation.  I suppose I can dust off one of my old PCs if needed.  I do not do enough work in Adobe to justify purchasing a new version and I am not a fan of subscription based software.
