As subject, I have encountered an issue after I un-check the option "Open documents as new tabs in the same window".
Then the Customize Quick Tools (Protect -> Encrypt) is not working.
Does anyone know what happens?
Hi there
Hope you are doing well and sorry to keep you waiting.
A new release of Adobe Acrobat 2017 is now available version 17.011.30202 addressing the issue, please update the application from the help menu > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.
You may also download the patch manually from the link https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/ReleaseNotesDC/index.html

Hi Ncfli
Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As described the customize quick tool is not working, once you uncheck the option 'Open documents as new tabs in the same window'
Would you mind sharing the version of the Adobe Acrobat 2017 you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the latest version 17.11.30199 installed. Go to Help > Check for Updates and reboot the computer once.
Also try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described in help page https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-default/td-p/4792... and see if that makes any difference.
Let us know how it goes

Hi Amal,
I am pretty sure the problem is related to the "Open documents as new tabs in the same window" because after enabling that option all the tools function normally. Btw thanks again.

Fixes can take many months, and it isn't clear that Adobe are still fixing bugs in Acrobat 2017 now that Acrobat 2020 has replaced it. There is no way to track Adobe bug reports. I suggest you plan for this not being fixed, and then you can be pleasantly surprised if it is fixed.

Hi there
We are sorry for the delay in response.
We have reported the issue to our engineering team and they are working on it to find the fix. We will share the update as soon as we will hear anything from them.
Additional Information: Adobe Acrobat 2020 hasn't replaced Acrobat 2017, Acrobat 2015 got EOL and Acrobat 2020 came in place.

"Adobe Acrobat 2020 hasn't replaced Acrobat 2017,"
Perhaps we mean different things by "replaced".
Adobe stopped selling Acrobat 2017. The same day they started selling Acrobat 2020. I call this replaced...
Acrobat 2017 reaches EOL in about a year.
