Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.
Is this an issue with a particular set PDF files or in general? Please try with a different set of PDF files and see if that works.
Also, make sure, the PDF file is not password-protected.
What is the version of the Acrobat you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the application updated to the recent version 23.08.20533. Go to Help > check for updates and reboot the computer once.
