I have Acrobat Pro DC and am trying to created calculated fields. From everything I am researching I should be able to create these using this version. However, when I add a Text field and got to its Properties I do not have a Calculate tab. I only have the tabs: General, Appearance, Position, Options. What am I missing here?

Click on Tools - Prepare Form and then click on "More" at the right side of the window and then on "Revert to Acrobat Form". In the future, do not tick the box that says "This document requires signatures" when creating the form.

Adobe keeps moving things around... Post a screenshot of what you're seeing.

Thank you. I am new to PDF fillable, etc. When this form has been completed in formation what do I need to do to prepare for signatures and distribute as a template?

You'll click "send" and then you'll do all the work you just did, again.

this time you'll have REAL calculation options, but won't be able to insert text anymore, only form fields

when you're done with that, click "send" agin but check the box above it that says "save as template"

this saves an online template of this which you can re-use over and over to create new instances of the document

however you'll never be able to edit the texts in this again.

    you'd have to start fresh.

you can however keep editing the form fields online by editing the template .

    hope it helps.

if you've questions feel free to ask, I've worked out over several months how this nasty tool works (and how it doesn't work)
