Question

Adobe extension in Chrome will not open all PDFs in chrome.

My clients can open most PDFs in Chrome using the Adobe extension.  These PDFs are in Sharepoint.  Some of the PDFs will need to be downloaded to open in the Adobe desktop app on Windows 10.

The problem PDFs appear to be documents that were emailed from clients and uploaded manually from Outlook to sharepoint by dragging and dropping from the email to the correct folder in sharepoint.  All files can be opened in the Adobe desktop application.

Does the Adobe extension have limitations that would cause the PDFs to not be opened?

we have cleared the cache and removed/reinstalled the extension.

Any suggestions about why this happens and what can be done.

Thanks in Advance

Hi Larry294528753lc4,

Thank you for reaching out.

As mentioned, the issue occurs with particular files that are manually uploaded to SharePoint. How are other files saved on SharePoint?

When you try to open the files, do you get any error messages? Would you mind sharing the screen recording of how the files uploaded from Outlook open and how other files open from Sharepoint?

Please check if there are any permissions on the files in SharePoint.

Thanks,

Meenakshi
