Adobe Pro sign in loop and crash

Using Adobe Pro, every time I open a PDF document on my computer, it asks me to sign in again.  Then once I sign in and enter password, it immediately closes the document I was looking at.  Then I have to reopen the document, sign in again, it closes, and the process repeats endlessly.

    uninstall acrobat using the cc desktop app, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html

     

    restart your computer and then reinstall using the cc desktop app.

    I tried and I can't even load the cc desktop app because it requires me to sign in and then gets stuck in an endless loop as well.
