ADOBE X PAGE NUMBERING AND TEXT LOSS FROM EMPTY HEADER
I have a 200 page document with a five-page table of contents.
I cannot find any other page format than the1. 2, 3 format to use for the table of contents and so I have decided to simply leave the page numbers off.
What I want to know is whether I can use the system at page find box in the upper left corner to find the corresponding page number in the document and disregard the first 5 pages of the table of contents. If I can't the document will not be searchable utilizing the page number feature. So, if you type page 200 in search box you will go to the actual page 200 not 205 if the system counts the unumbered table of contents.
Is split Document an answer?
Or Does anyone have any ideas on how to tell the system page numbering to start at a particular page.
By other problem is that the documents which I have inserted into the master document have page numbers in the upper right-hand corner and it seems that even though they appear when I insert them and even though they appear after I update the footer file with a blank header sometime between then and when I reopen the document a day or 2 later that page number the upper right corner disappears. I assume this is because the header which is blank somehow eliminates that taxed but I have not been able to solve that problem. Any ideas?
