Hi Everybody! 🙂
I created some fillable PDFs in April (converted to PDF from Microsoft Word 365) and my customer was able to print them with no issue and is still able to print them today. She can also print other documents.
I created more fillable PDFs for her a couple of weeks ago (same procedure) and she's unable to print them (even though she can still print the forms I sent to her in April). Her printer "activates" and acts as if it's going to print the new forms but then it just sits there.
So I recreated them a couple of days ago (same procedure) and she can't print the new ones either. I sent her a PDF that had no fillable fields added, a PDF with fillable fields and saved not "reader enabled" and a PDF with fillable fields saved as "reader enabled", just trying to isolate the problem. Side note: I'm aware that they don't have to be saved as "reader enabled" any longer... 🙂
The PDFs all print fine for me and others.
She uses AOL email and "Adobe Premium(?)" on an iPad. She says that when she clicks on the PDF attachment and it opens within her AOL email she can print it but then when AOL saves it to her computer (I guess it's automatic?) and she then opens it in Adobe she can no longer print it.
She then purchased Adobe Acrobat Pro for her computer to print them from there, but they still wouldn't print.
Has anyone heard of this happening lately? I read about similar in the past but currently? Is there maybe a conflict in a recent update or something? I also have to see if there's an issue with her printer but I figured I'd go ahead and ask here to see if anyone else has heard of this.
I'm happy to provide whatever information is needed here, I just don't know for sure what to provide.
Thank you so much and have a great day!
Diane
PS: I also just discovered that I don't have access to "Preflight" because I'm using Standard, not Pro.
Have something to add?
