Hi Adriana,

Just to confirm, you were getting an error with New Outlook and opening Adobe PDFs?

Did you manage to get it sorted out? I found this article:Re: New Outlook opening pdf attachment generates a… - Adobe Community - 15217824

Hi @derrick_0098,

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for your experience with using Acrobat.

Our team is aware of the issue, and working on high priority to get this fixed.

In the meantime, please help us gather logs from your machine: https://adobe.ly/4l1gBRA. Please make sure Procmon is selected. You can upload logs using this tool and share your Unique log ID with us.

A fresh set of logs, with the updated version of Acrobat (2025.001.2047x) would always be helpful for our development team to work more closely to a fix.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Regards,
Souvik.

Hello,

if this happened on Outlook when you tyr to lauch and Adobe PDF and it opens but then you get the error, it mostly happened with the Newer version of Outlook, so here are the steps to make the message disappear.

I already updated Office (Outlook) >windows updates > Adobe and the issue persisted :

First:

  • Opened Adobe Acrobat, navigated to Menu>Preferences > Security (Enhanced).
  • Unchecked the box for Run AppContainer.
  • Restarted Adobe Acrobat.

Compatibility Settings Adjustment:

  • The issue persisted, so I checked the Properties of the Adobe Acrobat shortcut.
  • On the Compatibility tab, selected Run this program in compatibility mode for and chose Windows
  • Hit Apply and OK to save changes.

Second

  • Open Adobe Acrobat, navigated to Menu>Disable new Acrobat Reader.

If you are using the old Outlook version try: Trust Center> Attachments and see if Adobe is checked.

I have started having the same problem that started a week ago.

Pops up most of the time when opening a pdf.  Thankfully the file still opens!

I'm having the same problem, too, starting about a month ago.  Is anyone at Adobe looking into this?  I can't find a solution anywhere...
