asks me to save as instead of print

I have used the same program to print reports and checks for months. Now all of a sudden it continues to let me print reports but ask that I save the checks before printing. Why is this happening and how do I fix it?

Hi Kimg,

You may try to clear the cookies and cache of Chrome. It is known that Google Chrome has its own PDF viewer plug-in and that it is not the same as Acrobat Reader's plug-in. You need to disable the Google Chrome reader and activate the Adobe Reader plug-in.

As per the new description, it seems that you are using another application to print, Is it possible to share a screenshot of the print screen: How to share a document

Is Acrobat Reader DC or Acrobat Pro/Standard DC is installed on your computer.

Please share the details.

Adobe reader dc. Once our office manager used Firefox instead of chrome it worked but still wanted to figure out why the change. Thanks for your help

Hi Kimg,

As I understand from the description above, you are not able to Print any PDF files as you get a pop up of Save As pdf, Is that correct?

Please disable the entry "Print to File" in the Print dialog. You may also check the 'Print to File' under Advanced option.

    Thank you Anand for replying. In this particular program it doesn't show you a print dialog box to make changes in before printing. The reports that are also PDF files still print fine but the checks now want you to save first. We are all stumped here at work.

    Print to file NOT enabled nor ticked.

     

    Anyone got any other knowledge of Adobe printing?
