Attachment Links Not Working After Conversion from Outlook

Hello.  I was successfully able to convert/save outlook  emails to pdfs in Adobe Pro.   After the conversion to pdf, the email attachments are available as links in the pdf files. That is great.  But when I edited the pdfs (redactions/numbering), the links to the attachments stopped working. When I click on the links to the attachments nothing happens. How can I reactivate the links to the attachments?  If they cannot be reactivated, how do I preserve the links to attachments after editing the pdf?   Please help! Thank you!
