Auto-update packet?

Know this is a long shot, but I'm being asked by the powers above to look into. I have lots of stand alone forms. I also have about 50 packets that contain different variations of some of these stand alone forms. Is there a way, even outside of Adobe, to have a packet auto update when a form, in that packet, is updated? So basically, if form #50 is updated, it would somehow update any form #50 in any packet that it is in.
